Temporary Faculty Librarian Position

The BCTC Learning Resource Center, Cooper Campus, is currently seeking to fill a Full-Time, Temporary Faculty Librarian Position. The successful candidate must have a MLIS degree from an ALA accredited institution. This is a 37.5 hour per week position. Below are details:

Term:

Start date is immediate. End date is June 30, 2012. Contract may be renewed for the remainder of the summer as well as the following semester, based on satisfactory performance.

Salary:

Contract is for $12,250.00 per semester, with the initial contract to be prorated based on start date. Paychecks are issued twice per month, and taxes will be withheld. No benefits are provided.

Schedule:

Weekly schedule is Monday thru Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) with the possibility of occasional evening hours (10:30am-7:00pm). Total: 37.5 hours per week.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Provide reference assistance through regular hours on the reference desk and additional coverage as needed

· Compile reference statistics

· Provide circulation assistance through a combination of regularly scheduled hours and additional need

· Supervision of student workers

· Update of reference guides (usually done in the spring semester)

· Assist with serials check-in and management

· Additional duties may be assigned as needed
