Special Libraries Association program - March 2, 2012 at UofL Brandeis School of Law
You’re invited to attend the Special Libraries Association’s Kentucky Chapter’s upcoming business meeting and program on Friday, March 2.
An optional Dutch treat lunch will be served at Amici Café (316 W. Ormsby Avenue), followed by the business meeting and presentations, which will be held at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law (2301 S. Third Street).

** Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Paid parking is available at the Speed Museum (2035 South Third Street) and at the Floyd Street Parking Garage (2126 South Floyd Street). The nearest metered off-street parking is located in the area bordered by S. 2nd Street, S. 4th Street, and W. Cardinal Blvd. Public transportation is provided by TARC. - 3:00-5:00: Presentations (Room LL60)
Program Details:
The theme for this program is Government Issues & Access to Information. Dwayne Buttler will present "Fair Use, Best Practices, and Copyright Realities". Kurt Metzmeier will present “Free Assessable Government Information, Killed by a Thousand Budget Cuts?” Lars Smith will speak about PIPA and SOPA. Will Hilyerd will talk about legal research and Jim Becker may speak about courtroom technology and related issues.
Cost: SLA-KY Members: $10, Non-Members: $20, Students: $5. An additional $1 service charge will be added to credit card payments.
